First, we use the hardest steels in the industry to eliminate the issue of groove wear. Secondly, we have made our wheel narrower. In doing so we eradicated debris issues and created a wheel that installs inside the bottom rail of your gate without sacrificing strength. Thus, a simplified installation and adhesion to UL and ASTM requirements. The secret behind the wheels amazing smoothness is our unique machined spacer design, which produces optimum efficiency from the sealed ball bearings. The result: NEAR FRICTIONLESS MOVEMENT. All V-Groove wheel components have been CNC machined for extreme accuracy. All of Counsel's Slide gate systems and components are designed to achieve a 50% friction improvement over most common installation practice. Additionally, all components utilize maintenance free with sealed roller bearings and are produced from high-tensile high-yield steel for strength ratings up to 30 RC. Both Counsel's 4” and 6” V-Groove Wheels measure 1 1/8” in width (narrower than the standard machined v-groove wheel) to reduce friction and debris issues. Counsel's narrower wheel combined with specially designed spacers and carriage plates our systems work with 1 1/2”, 2” and 2 1/2” gate frames. Our adjustable carriage plates slide over gate frame and eliminate the need to cut entire frame for wheel boxes.
